Who this course is for:

• Participants who have completed IMM Dry Needling/Medical Acupuncture Course (Level 1) 

• Participants who have completed a basic acupuncture course and be working as a healthcare practitioner.

• Participants who have completed Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang Scalp Acupuncture Level 1

 

Course Description

The basic scalp acupuncture workshop will introduce the origin and development of scalp acupuncture (SA), the location of stimulation areas and indications, the manipulations and cautions of scalp acupuncture and its clinical applications and sample case treatments. 
After the course, participants will understand basic brain knowledge of Chinese medicine and western medicine, may bring back the basic skills of SA location, indication and technique, and start to practice SA on your own clinic patients. 

General course structure: 
Day 1
•    the origin and development of scalp acupuncture
•    Review of scalp and brain theory knowledge
•    Location of scalp acupuncture areas 1, including practice workshop 1
•    Location of scalp acupuncture areas 2, including practice workshop 2

Day 2
•    Review and refresh of Day 1 SA areas, with practice workshop. 
•    Location of SA areas 2, demonstration and practice (Stomach Area, Thoracic Cavity Area, Reproduction Area, Liver and Gallbladder area, Intestine area, Stop Madness Area, Central Area) with practice workshop.

Notes:

• During the practical class, participants are expected to administer and receive needling.

• You must possess adequate public liability insurance. Scalp Acupuncture is covered by general acupuncture,  if in doubt contact your insurer accordingly.

• CPD Certificate on completion of chosen course.
